Born in Port Arthur, Ontario ( now Thunder Bay ), Bruce Gamble's professional hockey career as a National Hockey League goalie spanned 14 years, and he saw action with four NHL teams: New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs and Philidelphia Flyers.

Gamble in Goal is a tribute to a man who accomplished his dream of playing in the NHL, and provides an inside look at his life in hockey from those who knew him best -- his former team-mates, family and friends.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have breezed through the first two rounds of the playoffs and await the Buffalo Sabres as their next opponent in the Eastern Conference Final.

Led by third-year centre Randy Logan, already considered a premiere player in the League, the Leafs are a tem in turmoil. With tycoon owner Frank Conder, embattled GM Phil Stevenson, bombastic and negative coach Ernie Taylor, the front office is a war-zone of sub-plots and ultierior motives.

Long before John Cena, Hulk Hogan or even "Whipper" Billy Watson, residents at the Lakehead went wild for wrestling. Nearly a century ago, when cable television, pay-per-view and even regular radio broadcasts were still the stuff of science fiction, professional wrestling was already an enormously popular sport in the Thunder Bay area.
